Tuesday 3.00pm – 5.00pm
Remember summertime attempts to float a home-made boat down the stream hoping it wouldn’t sink….. and running at full steam tugging a kite string behind hoping it would lift off the ground and be airborne?! This fantastic class invites your children to come and learn how to construct boats which actually float and kites which do fly. Using a variety of materials (as much as possible recycled) and tools, the children will have a fun packed session making two very important summer time toys…..
Wednesday 10.00am – 12.00pm
A wonderfully educational and imaginative session, mapping the body with yoga and art. The children will make a life-sized trace of themselves and then piece by piece, as they learn about each limb and body area through different yoga poses, decorate their sketched self using beautiful recycled materials. Your child will learn about the body while designing a beautiful life-sized self-portrait.
Wednesday 3.00pm – 5.00pm
A complete hands-on cooking experience making the contents of a picnic – and constructing the hamper box itself! The little chefs will prepare all the ingredients for a fun picnic treat, while learning about good food and healthy eating. Ingredients are organic where possible, and children will get to take home the finished product in their homemade box, to be devoured as an afternoon tea or early supper!
Thursday 10.00am – 11.30am
Little ones (with their carers) are invited to bring along their favourite cuddly toy (and a basket!) to help make a lovely picnic lunch. Children will help measure, pour, stir, squish, toss and dress some super healthy dishes which are perfect for lunch in the garden together. The baskets will be topped off with some simple summertime arts & crafts to make your picnic even more original.
Wednesday 3.00pm – 5.00pm
A workshop constructing wonderfully expressive masks from a diverse range of recycled materials. We will explore mask varieties from different cultures and the class may take your little ones on a bit of a wild adventure!.
Friday 11.00am – 12.00pm
It’s Friday! Come and conclude your week by stretching, climbing and playing with your little ones in a feel-good family time yoga session. Always a popular class and a really lovely way to begin your weekend or….Summer Holidays!
